James studied mechatronics engineering at the University of Canterbury. In 2010, in partnership with UC and Powerhouse Ventures he founded Invert Robotics, a tech company using suction based climbing robots to change the way inspections of industrial assets are performed.
Invert has grown to have offices in three countries and now supply some of the worlds largest and best-known companies.
James is now the CTO of Invert, focused on oversight of the ongoing tech development, identifying new opportunities and prototyping solutions
